About How to Make a Killing
Glen Powell plays a blue-collar guy who was disowned at birth by his obscenely wealthy family, and now he wants his inheritance back — no matter how many relatives he has to go through. The premise screams dark comedy, and that's exactly what it delivers. Think Knives Out energy but with less mystery and more scheming.
Powell is in full charm mode here, which at this point in his career is basically a genre of its own. He's funny, he's likable even when his character is doing questionable things, and he carries the movie with the kind of confidence that makes everything around him feel sharper. Margaret Qualley matches his energy well, and the supporting cast of eccentric rich-family characters gives the film plenty to work with.
John Patton Ford directed this — his previous film Emily the Criminal was a tight, smart thriller, and he brings that same efficiency here. The movie moves fast, doesn't pad its runtime, and lands its jokes.

Is It Worth Watching?
If you're a Glen Powell fan (and honestly, who isn't at this point), this is a good time. It's not trying to be deep — it's a slick, funny movie about money and family dysfunction, and it does that well. R-13, so it's accessible for a wider audience. Solid date night pick or barkada movie when nobody can agree on what to watch.
